Bio

A professional certified coach, Forest School Association-endorsed trainer, and education consultant, Sarah co-founded Where The Fruit Is to provide transformational coaching and training for leaders —with a background in education and voluntary youth work for over thirty years, managing national projects and working collaboratively with NGOs, Sarah advocates for nature and children. She has spent her working life sharing the importance of effective leadership, sustainability, emotional intelligence and healthy relationships between people and the planet.

A systems thinker committed to supporting individuals, teams, and organisations, Sarah applies her warmth, humour, and skills to various clients. Her training at Henley Business School led her to further training in Lumina Learning, Time to Think, and Team Coaching. Experienced across multiple coaching tools, including Lumina psychometrics, Sarah adapts her approach to working with clients in ways that best suit them.

Disconnecting from technology and (re)connecting with nature offers a route to managing stress, thinking more clearly and creatively, solving problems, resolving conflicts, making better decisions and engaging in systemic longer-term thinking.

Coaching through nature is a dynamic process between the coach, you, the coachee, and the natural environment. We use the interdependence of plants, animals, and weather to explore what is happening for everyone in your ecosystem, providing accountability and challenge to help you realise your vision.

Gain self-confidence and emotional agility as you focus on forward-thinking actions, and new and productive patterns of behaviour to benefit you, your team, your friends and your family.

Experience

Since 2018, Sarah has coached team leaders, managers, individuals, couples and teams through nature, using Nancy Kline's Time to Think, Lumina Spark, and Lumina Emotion psychometrics, among other coaching tools.

The sessions with Sarah have been fantastic. She has a unique ability to listen and start a chain reaction of thoughts by asking the right question at the right time.

Coaching brought up many critical conversations within the team. I now feel more confident and empowered to talk about what support I need from my colleagues and better understand what support to give them.

It is rare to think and talk without interruption, and Sarah holds that space respectfully, gently, and skillfully.

This has been and continues to be a really challenging time both inside and outside of work. Sarah listens and guides me with genuine care, enabling me to consider things in a way I hadn’t done before.
